Calling the waiter and requesting the bill

Scan the QR code on the table and tap "Call waiter" or "Request the bill"; the waiter screen plays a sound.

Steps

  1. Scan the QR code on the table with your phone camera.
  2. Tap "Call waiter". You do not need to join the table for this.
  3. To pay the waiter, join the table and tap "Request the bill"; check the remaining amount and choose Cash or Card (bring the card terminal).
  4. The status updates on screen: "Sent to the waiter" → "Waiter is coming" → "Done". You can cancel the request.

Which button when?

  • Call waiter: for orders, questions or anything else. Scanning the table QR is enough; it works even before the waiter opens the table.
  • Request the bill: when you want to pay the waiter by cash or card. You must have joined the table with the 6-digit code from the waiter. The remaining bill is shown before you send the request, so there are no surprises.
  • Water / Help: shown if the venue keeps them on.

Paying online instead

To pay without waiting, use Pay online with MekanBook in the bill window or the Bill section. To split the bill, choose equal or per-item split in the Bill section.

What if I tap again?

If the same request has already reached the waiter, no new one is created and you see "Your request has already been sent to the waiter". A short wait applies if you tap too often. Phone numbers or e-mails in notes are hidden.
