How to create a QR menu: a free QR code menu in 5 steps

A QR menu in 5 steps
Prepare the item list
List categories and items. For each, note the tax-inclusive price, portion or weight (e.g. “1 person, 100 g”), ingredients and allergens.
Sign up free and enter the menu
Create an account from the For businesses page and add items one by one or in bulk via Excel (CSV). If your venue is already listed, claim it with verification.
Choose a design
Pick the classic, modern, meyhane, café, night, fine dining, beach or fast food theme and add your logo and brand colour.
Print the QR codes
Print table QR codes 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16 or 20 per A4 page, on A5, A6 or as 50 × 50 mm stickers. Put the “Our menu & price list” sign at the entrance.
Place them and keep them current
Put the codes where guests see them. Update prices in the panel; the date a price applies from appears on the menu automatically.
What to consider when preparing the menu
Keep item names short and clear; add a one-line description for regional dishes. Show prices including all taxes.
State portions clearly: “1 person, 100 g” or “2 people, 200 g”. If you price per person, say so next to the item.
Enter allergens (e.g. gluten, milk, egg, peanut) and calories for each item. Do not publish unverified calorie values.
What makes a good QR menu design?
Readable type, high contrast and quick category navigation matter most. Do not block zooming; some guests need it.
Photos should not slow the menu down; use small, compressed images. On computers and tablets the menu should use the wide screen well.
QR code printing tips
Table codes should be at least 3 × 3 cm and the entrance sign larger. Matte paper reduces glare; leave white space around the code.
The logo in the middle of MekanBook QR codes uses high error correction (H), so codes stay readable. Still, test with a few phones before printing.
Table-numbered codes print in order, with cut marks for clean cutting.

Can the menu be shown in other languages?
Yes. Turkish, English, Russian, German and Arabic are supported; you can correct translations in the panel.
Does a QR menu satisfy the price-list rule?
Not on its own. A price list is needed at the entrance and on the tables, and a printed list must be given on request.
